Residential - Cedar Fence
Western Red Cedar - naturally preserved
against rot and infestation.
Framing - 2x4s are framed "on end"
and flush with the face of the post, they are toe-nailed top
and bottom with 16 penny glue dipped, galvanized nails.
Aluminum Ring Shank Nails - six-glue dipped,
8 penny, aluminum ring shank nails are used on each board.
Concrete Footings - 4x4 posts are set 8'
on center into a 9" diameter concrete footing, nearly
a wheel barrow full of concrete on each and every post.

Benefits:
- Requires no maintenance.
- A virtually indestructible joint is created by the post,
2x4 and cover board.
- Loose boards are not a concern. Aluminum nail does not
create the unsightly "black bleeding" onto the
boards as is common with other types of fasteners.
- Does an excellent job of battling wind and snow loads,
frost heave and moving soil conditions. Keeps your fence
nice and straight for many, many years.
